THE WATERS

Pink Hour is organized around the waters of the Great Lakes.

Each lake represents a different state of energy, movement or stillness.

Participants are invited to choose their practice based on how their body feels on a given day.

Participants are invited to navigate the practice the same way one navigates water — by observing the conditions of the day.

Every Lake Holds Its Own Greatness

The Great Lakes differ in size, but greatness is not measured by scale.

Gichigami is the deepest of the lakes.

Michigami holds the largest freshwater sand dunes in the world.

Karegnondi has the longest shoreline and contains the largest freshwater island on Earth, Manitou — the island of the Great Spirit.

Erielhonan is the warmest and most biologically productive lake, feeding the powerful waters of Niagara Falls.

Oniatarí:io is the great outlet through which the lakes flow into the St. Lawrence River and toward the Atlantic.

Each lake carries its own character, its own strength, its own way of being great.

In Pink Hour, the lakes are not levels of practice.

Choosing a lake does not mean choosing more or less.

It means choosing the water that meets your body today.

Because like the lakes themselves, greatness lives in what makes each of us unique.

And like water, the body remains powerful in all its states.
